Mini Yarn Apples

{7 comments}

Posted in: CraftsSeptember 24, 2009

Late September and early October is The Great Northwest Apple picking season! I dont know if that is just here in the Northwest or if it is all states, but wherever it is apples in Oregon are to die for! So juicy, crisp and sweet, perfect for making pies or homemade apple sauce. YUM!

Make and Takes must love apples too because they took yarn and pipe-cleaners to and make mini apples and pumpkins with the kids. They are fun and easy craft to make and add special decoration to any Fall kitchen.

Below are the supplies needed for this project, {CLICK HERE} to visit Make and Takes for the full directions and other pictures.

Supplies:

  • Craft yarn – red, green, or yellow (the cheap yarn will do, $2 a skein)
  • Pipe cleaners (or chenille stems) – brown and green
  • Piece of cardboard – 2 in x 5 in
