Viva Las Vegas! This past week Jeff and I were on vacation to the glamour and lights of Las Vegas Nevada. This is desert country with dry and hot temps up in the 100+ degrees! This was a nice change for us coming from Oregon where we have had a below avergage summer in the muggy 70′s. Thankfully for our arrival home Portland was at 93 degrees at 10:30pm Friday. We are happy to feel the heat and soak up the sun for a long winter to come.
Here are some pictures we captured on our trip! We stayed at the newly built Casino ARIA.
Las Vegas just added an 11 billion dollar City Center to the heart of the strip, below is the new tram that smooths to and from MonteCarlo, Aria, Vdara and Bellagio. This saved us a lot of walking, although we did not discover this until our third day there so we did a lot of walking the first 3 days.
This is me with a great view of the strip during the heat of the day, we did most of our walking during the day because there were less crowds.
Here is inside the Coca-Cola Factory, I loved the vintage memorabilia
Inside the M&M Factory where there at 4 floors! YES 4! This is one of the floors where they have every color of M&M imaginable.
Yummy Gelato from a cafe called SWEETCHILL inside our hotel, this cafe was very cool and chilly which made it and a nice place to sit after the pool.
View of the Mirage taken from the Venetian at night.
This is our favorite drink place called FAT TUESDAY. All over the strip restaurants and Casinos sell extremely large cups with alcoholic slushy drinks. We loved FAT TUESDAY because they sold the strongest drinks which had grain alcohol 190 Everclear and 151 Rum. The cup sizes range in size from 20oz-100oz! We chose the 44oz for only $11. Very good deal.

Gald you enjoyed your stay in our beautiful city. I’ve lived here for 19 yrs and have yet to see the inside of the coca cola factory. Guess I should venture out more.
Hi Bridget! Thanks for saying hello
