What is a Dry Shampoo? A styling product that Refreshes and rehabilitates your worn-out locks by absorbing excess oil to reduce the amount of washings, preserve hair color, and freshen the scalp when you just don’t have time to jump in the shower. There truly is no substitute for shampooing your hair in the traditional method, dry shampoos offer a quick pick-me-up for your hair for those days when you just don’t have time to jump in the shower.

Why use a Dry Shampoo?

    What is a Dry Shampoo made of?

    • Ground grains such as corn meal, ground oatmeal, semolina flour, cornstarch.
    • Talc (talcum powder)
    • Orrisroot powder (popular fragrance preservative) – very fine, may be difficult to remove from hair completely
    • Large grain salt – can cling to very oily hair
    • Dry clay
    • Baking soda – to minimize any odors

    Where to apply Dry Shampoo?
    Directly onto the scalp.
    1. Top of crown
    2. Fringe/Bang area
    3. Sides from the ear up to the top of the head
    3.Back top of head
    4. The hair strands itself should not be sprayed with dry shampoo. This should ONLY be applied to the scalp area where most oil is accumulated

    How to use a Dry Shampoo?
    1. Brush dry hair to free tangles and any debris. Hair must be completely dry.
    2. Apply the dry shampoo product. Focus this product on your root area at the top of the head and spray as if you were spray a hairspray in short spurts. Do not spray continuously it may leave visible product on the scalp. Let sit for 1-3 minutes to absorb into hair. Massage it throughout your scalp and use a hairbrush so the dry shampoo is distributed throughout the hair (as well as on the scalp), adding more as needed.
    3. Style as needed
