Portland Oregon is known for many culinary tasteful treats to explore and indulge. My best friend Ashley at joshandashleysworld.com bought a voucher on livingsocial which is similar to Groupon for a local bar offering a Martini and Manicure during Happy Hour! What can get more girly than a chilled martini while getting polish?
Happy Hour wasn’t until 5pm so we stopped off at a few places in Portland we have heard good buzz about.

First Stop… Saint Cupcake Galore on 12th & Morrison http://saintcupcake.com/
This all cupcake bakery shop sells a various selection of delectable treats with cupcakes as their STAR!
I tried pumpkin spice, toasted coconut cream, and red velvet.
Ashley tried local peach w/ brown sugar cookie crumble, big top dot, and a bonbonbunbuns.
We washed it down with chilled chocolate milk and a hot latte to compliment our palette.
Check out Saint Cupcake Galore on Twitter they tweet their theme for the day which decided sprinkle and frosting color combos. The day we visited the theme was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with purple,green,and orange colors. So pretty with a whismal humor.

Next stop was Kell’s Irish Pub on 2nd in Downtown PDX http://www.kellsirish.com/
This pub is known for their pub food and Irish beer sections. A unique thing about Kells is their magnetic ceiling. Visitors take cash, wrap it in a coin, and toss it up to the ceiling where is sticks and never returns. All money thrown up to the ceiling is donated to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Its a fun tradition they have been doing for years. Kells was offering a $3 Happy Hour on pub food so we snacked on a few greasy bites and sipped some brew while we sat outside on a sunny afternoon people watching.

And our main stop was Beauty Bar on 1st and Ash http://thebeautybar.com/portland/
$10 Happy Hour special Martini & Manicure! They ahve other locations in other cities including Chicago, Las Vegas, SF, and NY!
Inside the Beauty Bar is vintage inspired with old hair dryers and retro decor. The atmosphere was cute and girly which fills up at night with the opposite sex like any other bar open till early morning.
For the manicure the manicurist had many polishes to choose from including CHANEL nail polish which retail for $25. This was my chance to feel a glimpse of high end glam I opted for the RED.

This place is a Portland icon also seen on No Reservations w/Anthony B and MAN vs. Food
Its like any other bakery shop selling donuts but with a little more spunk.
Open 24 hrs you can usually find a line going around the block waiting for these tasty bites.
Some of their popular dounuts are: maple with real bacon,
And of course what started it all was the “Voodoo” donut. An donut shaped in the shape of a body filled with red (blood) jam and stabbed in the heart with a pretzel.
I had the precious little VoodDoo and Ashley had the Neapolitan.
