Peacock Inspired Costume

For Halloween this year I am excited to dress up as a Peacock! Store bought costumes are always cheaply made and overpriced so as I do every year, I will be making my own.

I typed in “unique home made costumes” and found http://www.coolest-homemade-costumes.com/peacock-costume.html
Which is where I got the idea to be a peacock.

My costume is not started yet, but here are a few of my inspirations:

I am also going to make a peacock costume, but I have been having trouble with ideas. I came across your website and found this extremely helpful. I was wondering if you know of any places where I could buy A LOT of peacock feathers?? Also, do you know how much it would cost?

Do you know how you are making the top portion of your costume? I want mine to look like the third and forth pictures, but I have no idea how to make that work! (:

    Hi Hannah
There is a 12pk of feathers on Amazon for around $5 which is pretty good deal. The craft stores charge too much for feathers.

For my top I’m going to wear a blue vneck empire waist shirt. Then I will probably add peacock feathers and maybe a broach in the center for bling. Its still in a work in progress for me as well!

I’m going to make my own costume too! I found feathers on ebay.. they came from China and take 15-20 days so order them soon! But I got 50 feathers for $9.99. Great Deal!

Your plus size peacock costumes are looking really good for Halloween this year. I know someone who makes these kind of costumes.
